We just made GSE smarter about geography

Here's what's new in this release.

You can now see report rates on a map

This is the big one. We've added regional heat maps that show global report rates broken down three ways: by TLD provider (think .com, .co.uk, etc), by domain registrar (the company someone used to register a website), and by hosting network, also known as an ASN.

Why does that matter? Because scams don't happen randomly. They tend to cluster, certain hosting providers get used more than others, certain regions see more activity, and certain registrars pop up again and again. Before this update, spotting those patterns meant digging through raw data and doing the maths yourself. Now you can just look at the map. If a region or provider is spiking, it jumps out immediately. No spreadsheets required.

The backend got faster (you'll feel it, even if you don't see it)

We made two big upgrades under the hood this time.

First, we rebuilt how signal enrichment works. Enrichment is the process that takes a raw signal and adds context to it, so it's more useful when it reaches you. We rebuilt that process from the ground up, and it now runs faster and more reliably than before. In practical terms: signals get processed and reach your dashboard quicker.

Second, we upgraded the GSE Index processor, the system behind the GSE Index score. This upgrade means the index can update faster, even as the amount of data flowing through GSE keeps growing. So the numbers you're relying on stay current, not stale.

Neither of these changes is something you'll click on or see a button for. But you'll notice things just feel snappier and more up to date.

New data feed: the FTC

Last thing, we've added a new feed from the Federal Trade Commission. It covers unsolicited phone calls that consumers have reported, including the number that called them and when the complaint was filed. It's now built directly into GSE alongside everything else you're already tracking.
