Ofcom has named the Global Signal Exchange as a data source for mobile operators.

Ofcom is the UK regulator for communications services, responsible for broadband, home phone and mobile services, TV and radio.

Ofcom has released a consultation on combatting mobile messaging scams. The consultation highlights the Global Signal Exchange as a source of data for mobile operators.

Mobile operators are required to implement and maintain appropriate and effective policies, systems and processes to receive reports of scams from end-users and third parties. Mobile operators are also expected to obtain intelligence on scams from a range of sources. The Global Signal Exchange has been named as one of these sources.
