GSE Malvertising Workstream - "significant progress in removing barriers to cross-platform information sharing"
The Global Signal Exchange (GSE) malvertising pilot—spearheaded by the Advertising Association in collaboration with Google and Amazon —has been spotlighted in the Online Advertising Taskforce Progress Report 2025, published on 17 March 2026.
In a response to written questions, Creative Industries Minister Ian Murray praised the initiative's "significant progress in removing barriers to cross-platform information sharing". A live pilot is already facilitating real-time intelligence sharing between trusted partners to disrupt malicious actors.
The report details how the GSE platform allows partners and law enforcement to surface new insights and address high-volume cybercrime.
By sharing signals like malicious URLs and attack types (scams, malware, cloaking), the industry is moving from siloed actions to a unified defence.
