No More Blind Spots: XConnect Bridges Telecoms and Internet Intelligence in the GSE

Closing the gap
It closes a gap the network has felt for a while. A single scam rarely stays in one lane. It might start with a spoofed number, move to a text message, land on a fake domain, open a fraudulent account, and end at a payment, five services, five blind spots. Each of those steps has typically been watched by a different provider, in isolation.
Europol puts the global cost of caller ID spoofing alone at around EUR 850 million a year, with phone calls and texts behind roughly 64% of reported cases. Not anymore. XConnect's numbering intelligence now layers onto GSE's existing signals on IP addresses, URLs and cross-platform risk. A suspicious number and a suspicious domain no longer sit as two separate reports. They can finally be read as one attack.
A two-way street
The arrangement works in both directions. XConnect and its parent company, Somos Inc., feed telecoms intelligence, including SIM swap detection, call forwarding checks and mobile identity verification, into the GSE. In return, it draws on the exchange's wider intelligence to sharpen its own fraud and routing decisions.

Better-governed sharing
Where privacy or commercial sensitivity have historically slowed this kind of collaboration, the answer was never less sharing. It's better-governed sharing: lawful, purpose-limited, auditable. Telecoms intelligence now sits alongside internet and platform-level signals. One more way for the network to move at the speed of the fraudsters it's built to get ahead of.
