Heading to Tokyo: GSE at the Anti-Scam Conference Japan 2026

We're excited to be heading to the JASA Anti-Scam Conference Japan 2026, taking place in Tokyo on 26 August at the Google Shibuya Office Event Space, hosted by the Japan Trust & Safety Association (JASA).

Lucien Taylor and Katie Miles will represent GSE throughout the day.

In the morning, from 10:55-11:15, they'll present on the Global Signal Exchange as part of JASA's "Global connection session," alongside GASA.

In the afternoon, from 16:50-17:40, they'll join Panel 4 on payment-side countermeasures, alongside Japan's Financial Services Agency, Mike Haley of Cifas, and Shinya Ueki of Merpay, discussing how sharing fraud signals earlier can help stop scams before money moves.

The day wraps up with JTSA's Tanaka Kiyotaka reporting on the early rollout of GSE-powered signal sharing in Japan.

Ahead of the conference, our team has been researching Scam Geographies - how signals like language, domain names, and local references can indicate the specific countries a scam is targeting - and we look forward to presenting these findings..

Please join us at the GSE sessions in Tokyo to hear more about the non-profit Global Signal Exchange, and its role as critical infrastructure connecting public and private sector organisations in the fight against scams and fraud.
