We are pleased to announce the release of version 2.5.0 of the GSE platform. Full release notes for this release can be found here. This release has the following key features

Introduction of GSE Compass

We are delighted to announce the launch of our first public BETA of GSE Compass - a chat based interface to the GSE data utilising AI capabilities to allow users to run their own analytical queries using natural language phrases.

GSE Compass is currently trained on our GSE enrichment data for our open DNS signals allowing questions relating to abuse types, signal types, domain registration data and hosting infrastructure.

A number of example starting points are provided within the GUI with some of the types of questions you can ask being:

  • “What is the breakdown of signals by hosted country?”
  • “How many signals have a confidence score above 80?”

The chat interface allows for follow up questions and also simple charting of analytical results by using “Draw me a chart” type instructions. It is also possible to download simple PDF reports for result sets produced by Compass.

GSE Compass is available to our Respond and Command tier users subject to usage limits. As this is a brand new feature on the GSE we are keen to gather as much feedback as possible so please feel free to get in touch with any questions, comments or requests for improvement by replying to this email.

Group Impact Enhancements

Following the changes made last month to enhance the impact measures available within Groups created in the GSE we have made further improvements to graph the change over time of the key measures including:

  • Group threat level
  • Impact value (where set up for a group)
  • Disruption Evidence - based on the amount of feedback received for signals

We have also added a new GSE Automation section to the Group view to highlight key enrichment metrics such as top abuse and signal types and top Registrars, TLDs and ASNs by volume for the group. We hope that these will serve to provide extra insights in measuring impact for signals shared within groups.

Other Highlights

  • Latest Activity - This has been revised to show a consolidated view for received signal reports including impact measures (where available) along with enrichment data, where this has been generated. The “View Details” button shows a full view of a signal including any received feedback and enrichment data where available.
  • Account Settings - This now shows the actual usage as a percentage of daily limits for API calls and Compass usage (previously this was just showing the daily limits)

Coming Soon

We are excited by the BETA launch this month of GSE Compass and will be working to improve this ready for a first production release in the coming months.

We are also working on a number of enhancements to our APIs:

  • Latest signal intelligence API to provide data similar to the revised data set in Latest Activity.
  • Push API (webhook) support to allow data to be pushed more efficiently to GSE users.
