I think I’ve been scammed. What should I do first?

.

Should I report the scam? If so, where?

Yes, reporting is crucial. Depending on where you live, you can report to:

  • Your national consumer protection agency
  • A cybercrime or fraud division (e.g., the FBI's IC3 in the U.S., Action Fraud in the UK, Europol, etc.)
  • Local police or law enforcement
  • Online platforms involved (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, eBay)

The Global Signal Exchange is not a platform to report a scam.

Can I get my money back?

It depends. Some banks or credit card companies offer fraud protection, especially if the transaction was unauthorised. Prompt reporting improves your chances. Unfortunately, in many cases (especially with crypto or wire transfers), recovery may be difficult.
